Obituary
Joyce B. Robbins, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 22, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 88. Born on May 5, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, Joyce lived a life full of love, faith, and dedication to her family and community.
Joyce was preceded in death by her cherished husband of 56 years, Fred Robbins, and her parents, Harry and Novella Hamlin. Together, Joyce and Fred shared a passion for travel, exploring the scenic landscapes across our beautiful country including northern Michigan where they enjoyed the vibrant fall colors. Joyce also visited Hawaii twice with her mother and sister, making wonderful memories together. In their younger years, Joyce and Fred also found enjoyment in bowling together.
Joyce was part of the Night Owls. This was a group of friends that would get together on a regular basis for dinner, outings, parties, and trips. These were very special times for Joyce, and she cherished those memories deeply.
As a devoted member of Wick Road Baptist Church, Joyce's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She contributed her time by taking care of toddlers at the church.
While raising her family, Joyce worked part-time in sales, where her kindness and warmth touched many. She was a very kind, loving, and compassionate woman who believed in treating everyone fairly. Her empathetic nature was evident in her desire to help others.
Joyce was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, deeply loved by all her family. She is survived by her three children: Terry (Robin) Robbins, Curtis Robbins, and Melissa Geb. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Timothy (Leana) Geb, David Robbins, Ryan Geb, Melody Robbins, Hannah Geb, and Emma Robbins, as well as her great-grandchildren: Kenny, Gabrielle, Skylar, Brooklynn, Piper, Veronica, and Annabell. She is also survived by her loving sister Darlene (Don) Dietrich as well as numerous family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by entombment at Michigan Memorial Park.
Joyce's life was a testament to her strength, faith, and love for those around her. She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
